2003-2005

Northstar Group was founded in 2003 by Patrick Walujo and Glenn Sugita. The firm’s business was originally established as an Indonesian merchant bank and the two Co-Founders sourced and executed a number of transactions in, among others, the telecommunications, energy and financial services sectors. In 2005 they advised on the US$1 billion leveraged buyout of Adaro, one of Indonesia’s largest coal companies.
